Setting Up Your New Domain Name and Hosting Service

If you've finally decided to set up your own website, the very first thing you need to do is get your own custom domain name and hosting that sets you apart from everyone else.

What should I use for my domain name?

For this website I chose my actual name (Robert Bolgar) as my domain name.

You can choose whatever name you want that reflects what your website will be about.

In the video above I will walk you through the process I used to get my personal domain name...

It only takes a few minutes to get your own domain name and hosting so  you can be setting up your new website in no time.

What is a hosting provider?

Your hosting provider is the company that will "host" your website on the internet.

Most hosting providers charge small monthly fees to keep your site active but they usually offer yearly or quarterly discounts.

I hope this video helped you out in one way or another.

Check out NameCheap for a good deal on a top level domain name... Sometimes during the checkout process they will give you an unannounced discount!  It's happened to me...

If you're looking for quality hosting I would suggest D9Hosing or Bluehost. I've personally used both of them and have nothing bad to say.  Feel free to check them out.

If you have any questions you can leave them below and I will answer with the best of my ability...

Don't forget to check out my other videos that i recorded to help you set up your new site.

To your success,
